May’s Publishing Tip: Guide Readers Through Your Plan

May 18, 2026

In some parts of the world, summer is just around the corner! Warmer weather, no school, and vacation plans mean that Bible engagement and church attendance tend to decrease.

You might be asking yourself, “How can I keep people engaged so that they complete my Plans during a season when Scripture engagement tends to decrease?”

High-performing Plans have something very important in common: they shepherd readers day-by-day instead of leaving them to self-navigate.

At the end of each day, tell readers why they should return tomorrow. Build excitement for the coming days so that they want to find out what is coming next. All it takes is one sentence to help people know there is more value to be had!

Here are a couple examples:

  • “Come back tomorrow to learn how to forgive others.”
  • “Tomorrow we’ll be going over the most transformative truth about forgiveness I’ve ever experienced.”

Check out Awestruck: 30 Days of Wonder in the Bible for a real-life example of guiding people through your Plan.

Every year, we promote the Mid-Year Challenge—and this year, we’re combining it with the World Cup to see which country has the most Bible engagement. Our Community will have the opportunity to engage with God’s Word for seven days in a row and earn a Badge.  We’ll be sending marketing campaigns from Thursday, June 11 - Sunday, July 19, 2026.

So, let’s work together to encourage people to keep coming back to their Bibles! We’re excited to see how God uses your efforts to create excellent Plans and invite people back each day.
