Spiritual Support Team

Role Details:

Be the first point of contact for people in our YouVersion Community reaching out for spiritual support.

You don’t have to be a pastor or church leader to serve on this team—you just need a prayerful, humble heart.

During volunteer onboarding, you will go through a training process to learn how to use our tools.

Serving opportunities include:

• Spiritual Responder: You will pray for people who reach out with requests, give Biblical encouragement to those who are struggling, and provide recommended tips, tools, and resources as needed.
• Prayer Community: You will pray over submitted prayer requests during your personal time with God.

Minimum Requirements:

• You must be fluent in the English language.

Serving Expectations:

• You must be committed to walking with Jesus.
• You will need a device with internet access.
• You will need to stay connected to your Volunteer Team to develop relationships and stay informed of helpful information.
• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Spiritual Responders must commit to responding to at least five prayer requests each week.
• Prayer Community must commit to spending time each week praying for the requests that have been shared by the Team Leader.
